Medical Transcription Specialist for Ophthalmology
At Eye Associates of Plantation, we are seeking a skilled Medical Transcription Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately document eye exams, including visual acuity and basic eye tests, in compliance with medical standards.
Record detailed patient medical history, ocular history, and interactions between doctors and patients.
Support ophthalmologists with specialized diagnostic procedures, such as B Scans and Lasers, by maintaining accurate records.
Educate patients on proper eye care procedures, medications, and post-treatment care protocols.
Maintain up-to-date and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and medical standards.
Requirements
Prior experience in medical transcription or a related field is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is required for effective communication with patients.
Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment and diagnostic procedures is essential.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
Work Environment
The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent mobility and attention to detail.
