Verification and Authorization Specialist (Remote, Part-Time) Company: United Physio, LLC Pay: $17–$21 per hour (based on experience) Hours: 15–30 hours per week (flexible schedule) Location: Remote (U.S. based only) About Us United Physio, LLC is a support company of outpatient physical therapy clinics across Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Verification and Authorization Specialist to join our clinical admin team. This is a part-time, remote position ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and prior experience in healthcare verification or authorizations. Position Summary The Verification and Authorization Specialist plays a key role in ensuring patients’ insurance benefits are verified accurately and treatment authorizations are obtained promptly before care begins. You’ll work closely with our front office teams and clinical leadership to support smooth patient onboarding and billing accuracy. Responsibilities • Verify patient insurance eligibility and physical therapy benefits prior to the first visit. • Obtain treatment authorizations, renewals, and extensions as required by payers. • Communicate verification details and authorization status to clinic staff in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate records in EMR and payer portals. • Follow up on pending authorizations and resolve any discrepancies or denials. • Collaborate with the billing and front office teams to prevent delays in patient care or payment. • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed within the clinical admin department. Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of experience in medical insurance verification, authorizations, or billing (physical therapy or outpatient preferred). • Strong understanding of common payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, VA, etc.). • Excellent communication and time management skills. • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency with Google Workspace and EMR systems (Prompt EMR experience a plus). Schedule & Compensation • Part-time: 15–30 hours per week (flexible scheduling available). • Pay range: $17–$21/hour, depending on experience and performance. • Potential for increased hours or full-time opportunity as the company continues to grow.
