DESCRIPTION

Under the direct direction of the Clinic Manager and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs a variety of work duties, including patient care support, environmental care functions, equipment/supply management and cleaning/disinfecting the environment. Performs work, which requires specific knowledge and training in patient care duties within business and professions code of the State of California and/or the regulations The Joint Commission (TJC). You will work alongside other team members and assist with patient intake and vital signs, patient transport, room turnover, equipment reprocessing, ordering and stocking supplies, processing of DME requests, specimen transport to the lab, and administrative tasks. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
? Two (2) years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant.
? BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
? Knowledge of medical terminology, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics.
? Require initiative and the ability to prioritize demands.
? Must be able to work in a team environment and function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
? Demonstrates experience with or interest in providing individualized care to vulnerable populations.
? Ability to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Pulmonary experience highly desired, especially familiarity with pulmonary disease and bronchoscopy equipment.
? Epic experience.
? Previous experience with procedural area workflows.
? Knowledge of ARIA.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
? Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
? Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $50,321 - $62,640 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $24.10 - $30.00

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
