Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee project development from inception to completion.
Provide technical solutions for mechanical systems problems in collaboration with the operations and maintenance teams.
Design and implement mechanical solutions for various projects.
Collaborate with the Project Architect to establish project technical requirements.
Engage with the project team on critical engineering issues.
Communicate project design and construction decisions effectively to the team.
Manage project administration, including costs and scheduling.
Clearly define project scope and deliverables in partnership with clients and stakeholders.
Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders promptly and clearly.
Maintain ongoing liaison with project stakeholders.
Assess resource estimates to meet project goals.
Prepare budget baselines and suggest adjustments as necessary.
Negotiate for assistance from necessary personnel within the organization.
Manage multiple smaller projects for different clients simultaneously.
Identify areas for process improvement and suggest actionable solutions.
Minimal domestic travel will be required.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 4 years' experience in facilities management and construction oversight.
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated success adapting to shifting priorities through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in influencing and securing cooperation from management and diverse teams.
A track record of leading teams through complex projects.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance are required.
Desired Skills:
Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar).
Familiarity with design and project management software, including CAD and Microsoft Project.
Expertise in scheduling, supervision, quality control, and all phases of construction.
Knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry regulations and practices.
Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience with Building Automation Management systems.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities, Construction, or related field.
