Department OverviewThe North America Solutions Deployment and Integration PMO supports the field to execute mission critical communications projects. The PMO is responsible for continuously improving processes and providing governance, support, and training to project teams.Job DescriptionThe project scheduler is a critical tool in setting customer expectations and establishing revenue plan. The role of the Master Scheduler will be to serve as a primary scheduler for complex projects and as coach, consultant and auditor for other project managers to ensure scheduling best practices are adhered to in the region in support of the organization’s strategic objectives. Lead resource management practices for the region to ensure efficient use of resources and effective planning. Responsibilities:Primary Scheduling for Complex Projects:Develop, maintain, and manage highly detailed, resource-loaded, and cost-loaded master project schedules for complex, multi-faceted projects from initiation through closure.Integrate multiple project schedules into a master program schedule, identifying critical paths, dependencies, and potential conflicts.Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and "what-if" scenarios to evaluate alternative strategies and mitigate potential delays.Monitor project progress against the baseline, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to project teams and stakeholders.Generate and present comprehensive schedule performance reports, including earned value management (EVM) metrics, critical path analysis, and forecast completion dates.Project Cost Control & Management:Collaborate closely with project managers and finance to integrate project costs into schedules, track expenditures, and forecast remaining costs.Develop and implement processes for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on project cost performance.Identify potential cost overruns or under-runs and proactively recommend strategies for cost optimization and control.Process Improvement & Standardization:Drive continuous improvement initiatives for scheduling processes, tools, and templates across the organization.Ensure consistency and standardization of scheduling practices to support accurate reporting and strategic decision-making.Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in project scheduling and cost control.Stakeholder Communication:Communicate schedule status, risks, and impacts effectively to all levels of project stakeholders, including senior management.Facilitate scheduling review meetings and workshops.Preferred Qualifications:Computer Skills: 5+ years of experience working with Primavera, Microsoft Project, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Planview, and Smartsheet.PMP and/or PMI-SP certification preferred.Experience must include demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, and develop schedules for varied projects and programs, in a customer implementation setting.Expert in Scheduling Best PracticesDemonstrated experience within large enterprise scale technology projects.Thorough understanding and tracking of project performance metrics (% of completion, EV, etc).Experience in monitoring progress of project work and tracking progress in scheduling software.Project Schedulers with strong Project Control Cost experience.High communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skillsExcellent listening skills and have strong communication skillsWorking knowledge of NA SDI processes strongly preferred.Some travel within US/Canada will be required.This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USDConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
