About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Mass Spectrometry Applications Specialist to join our team, supporting a world-leading mass spectrometry manufacturer. As a field-based technical specialist, you will provide post-sales support to our omics and imaging customers, helping them to unlock the full potential of their instrument investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional application support to customers, enabling them to exploit the full capabilities of their instruments
Develop and troubleshoot customer methods, providing expert technical support as required
Perform instrument and method demonstrations to showcase the latest technological advancements
Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and drive business growth
Provide comprehensive customer training and support to ensure seamless instrument operation
Represent the company at high-profile conferences, presenting the latest technological advancements in the industry
Requirements and Qualifications:
Accomplished Scientist with a background in LC-MS omics and/or MALDI imaging
Strong understanding of mass spectrometry and its applications in proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and other related fields
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and organization
Home-based with extensive travel (up to 70%) to customer sites across the UK and Ireland
