Marketing & Outreach Coor

The University of Utah is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for its Housing & Dining Programs department. This role involves supervising a student designer and coordinating marketing communication projects, ensuring proper branding and effective communication materials. Responsibilities Design and coordination of marketing communication projects (marketing campaigns, photoshoots, and materials such as guides, banners, posters, and advertisements on TV screens) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and send timely emails to HDP residents, including move-in information, emergency communications (e.g., facilities issues), and online newsletters Assist in HDP's collaborative work with departments on campus, including Dining Services, Admissions, Orientation, Print & Mail Services, University Marketing & Communications, and Auxiliary Services Represent HDP at recruitment and outreach events in and out of state (some weekend and after-hours events included) Creation of presentations for outreach events in addition to serving as a presenter in front of several audiences (e.g., parents and families, incoming students, campus partners, etc.) Coordinate staffing needs for marketing-related events (e.g., recruitment events, presentations, tabling, etc.) Provide training to Outreach Ambassadors and Housing Ambassador staff for outreach events, on-campus tours, etc May perform other related technical duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) One year of related experience and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required Experience in different styles of writing, publishing software packages and advertising concepts Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills Proficient user of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Canva, and email marketing platforms Experience creating slide decks and presenting information to individuals and groups Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Familiarity with a variety of computer software; project management experience, and ability to work both individually and in a team setting Company Overview The University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, is the flagship institution of higher learning in Utah.
