Marketing Coordinator – Marketing Operations & Vendor Management

The Marketing Coordinator serves as the operational backbone of Joshua Tree Experts' franchisee marketing support system. This FULLY REMOTE role focuses on building, managing, and optimizing vendor relationships and marketing workflows that enable franchisees to execute effective marketing campaigns. By coordinating specialist vendors and developing self-service tools, this position frees the Marketing Manager to maintain direct franchisee relationships while ensuring operational excellence across all marketing support areas.

This is an entry-level position ideal for a tech-savvy professional who is detail oriented, thrives on project ownership, process improvement, and bridging the gap between marketing strategy and technical execution.

Primary Responsibilities

Vendor ManagementCoordination
• Identify, vet, and onboard marketing specialist vendors (SEO agencies, web developers, AI consultants, ad agencies, etc.) to support franchisee needs
• Serve as primary liaison between vendors and internal teams, managing contracts, deliverables, timelines, and quality standards
• Oversee SEOHubSpot vendors to optimize franchisee websites and landing pages for AI-enhanced search (e.g., Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity)
• Coordinate with design and development vendors for website updates, landing page creation, and digital asset production
• Monitor vendor performance through KPIs and regular check-ins, making recommendations for optimization or replacement as needed

Marketing OperationsWorkflow Enhancement
• Build and maintain scalable marketing workflows and processes that support all franchisees consistently
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marketing support functions
• Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies; propose and implement solutions
• Coordinate marketing technology integrations between platforms (SingleOps, HubSpot, Biz Dashboards, ad platforms, etc.)
• Track and report on operational metrics related to vendor performance, project completion rates, and franchisee satisfaction

AISelf-Service Tool Development
• Design and implement AI-powered self-service portals (e.g., GPT-based Projects or custom LLM repositories) where franchisees can query marketing best practices, pull assets, and access resources independently
• Curate and organize marketing content, templates, brand guidelines, and training materials for easy franchisee access
• Explore emerging AI tools and technologies that can enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness across the franchise network
• Train franchisees on using new tools and platforms through documentation, video tutorials, or live training sessions

Project OwnershipInitiative
• Own projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision, including scoping, planning, execution, and post-launch optimization
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve marketing operations, franchisee experience, and vendor relationships
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Marketing Manager, franchise support team, and technology vendors to drive initiatives forward
• Stay ahead of marketing technology trends and bring innovative ideas to the team

Required Qualifications
• Tech Wizard: Demonstrated comfort with marketing technology platforms, project management tools, and emerging AI/LLM technologies
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for vendor coordination and documentation
• Problem-Solving: Natural troubleshooter who can identify issues and develop practical solutions
• Initiative: Self-starter who takes ownership and drives projects forward without constant oversight
• Organized: Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with AI tools, LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), or AI-powered marketing platforms
• Familiarity with SEO, website optimization, or digital marketing fundamentals
• Experience in a franchise system or multi-location business environment
• Background in marketing operations, marketing technology, or vendor management
• Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce/SingleOps) or operations management systems
• Basic understanding of web development, APIs, or technical integrations
