About the Role
As a Production Supervisor at 3M, you will collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world and make a significant impact by:
Guiding activities and personnel to ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste in an environmentally conscious and productive manner.
Cultivating and leading a team through cross-training activities, cooperation, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork.
Scheduling work priorities, allocating work assignments, communicating expectations, and monitoring workflow.
Providing coaching and feedback to employees and utilizing corrective action to resolve conflicts and inappropriate behaviors.
Training employees on all aspects of the Cottage Grove operations and processes.
Ensuring a safe work environment by reviewing production processes, EHS requirements, and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems.
Requirements and Qualifications
To set you up for success in this role, 3M requires:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
OR High School diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
Previous supervisory experience.
Experience in project leadership, team leadership, supervisory, and/or management.
Self-directed and detail-oriented with good interpersonal, communication, prioritization, organizational skills, and computer skills.
