Position: Manufacturing - Aerospace & Defense Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $55ā$75/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Build a realistic digital workspace centered on the Drive folders you use daily. Include program review decks, CDRLs / SOWs, engineering change proposals, and supplier qualification packages.
ā¢ Design multi-step tasks based on real workflows. These tasks should challenge frontier AI agents by requiring navigation of multiple apps, files, and stakeholders.
ā¢ Collaborate with other aerospace and defense experts to design the environment, shape task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
ā¢ Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for A&D agent benchmarks.
ā¢ Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking. Your work will inform how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
Qualifications
Must-Have
ā¢ 3+ years of full-time experience at a Fortune 500 A&D prime, major Tier-1 supplier, or federally-funded R&D center.
ā¢ Background in program/project management on DoD or NASA contracts, aerospace design or manufacturing engineering, supply-chain management, or quality and mission assurance.
ā¢ US Person status required for most A&D work.
ā¢ Day-to-day use of ANSYS Fluent / STAR-CCM+, Siemens Opcenter or Rockwell FactoryTalk, and Jira / Confluence.
ā¢ Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.
Compensation & Legal
ā¢ Expected to begin on an effective hourly rate. Transition to compensation based on throughput of quality work rather than a flat accruing hourly rate.
