Manager: Solutions and Integration
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and business-savvy Manager Solutions and Integration to lead and deliver integration initiatives in the freight forwarding and customs brokerage domain. This role is a hybrid of engineering thinking and business solutioning ideal for someone who can interface with stakeholders, design functional solutions, and manage integration messaging across systems.
The successful candidate will possess deep domain expertise in air, ocean, and customs brokerage operations, along with hands-on experience in API/XML-based system messaging. While CargoWise experience is preferred, a strong understanding of the freight/logistics ecosystem and integration challenges is essential.
This is not a pure tech role it requires functional leadership, client engagement, and the ability to translate complex business needs into structured integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead solution design and integration planning across freight forwarding domains (Air, Ocean, and Brokerage).
• Manage system messaging and API-based integrations between internal systems and external customer platforms.
• Interface directly with business partners and customers to understand integration needs and translate into functional specifications.
• Own problem resolution related to data, system communication, and process breakdowns.
• Analyze and map data structures to support seamless system integrations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Ops, IT, and Customer Success) to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Act as a thought partner to the business bringing clarity to technical problems with business-first thinking.
Required Qualifications:
• 3 5+ years of experience in integration design and solution management within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
• Proven experience working in or closely with US Customs Brokerage operations.
• Hands-on experience with API, XML, and data mapping/integration messaging.
• Strong functional understanding of freight systems, processes, and customer-facing integration requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, map data requirements, and define scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with CargoWise One platform and its integration capabilities.
• Exposure to tools like Cloverleaf, QDIB, or other logistics integration engines.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery models.
• Experience replacing or backfilling a solutions/engineering leader
