We are excited to add a Manager, Program Training to our National team!
Position Overview
The Manager, Program Training is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training resources that equip staff to implement program strategies effectively.
This role focuses primarily on building high-quality training content, facilitating learning experiences, and supporting staff adoption of program practices across sites.
Reporting to the Director of Program Training & Systems, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys translating strategy into clear, practical training materials and supporting staff learning in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development & Delivery
Partner with the National Program Team to understand program priorities and translate them into clear, engaging training materials
Design and deliver virtual and in-person trainings for site staff
Develop user-friendly resources such as facilitator guides, toolkits, onboarding materials, and recorded training modules
Support onboarding of new program staff through structured training experiences
Staff Support & Adoption
Build relationships with local site teams to understand training needs and barriers to implementation
Gather feedback on training effectiveness and adjust materials accordingly
Provide follow-up support and office hours to reinforce learning and promote adoption of program practices
Resource Management
Organize and maintain training materials in shared platforms (e.g., Box Hub, intranet, etc.)
Ensure materials are accessible, up-to-date, and easy to navigate
Support basic guidance for staff on how to use program tools and platforms (in partnership with IT when needed)
Collaboration
Work cross-functionally to ensure training materials reflect current processes
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends in staff questions or challenges
The Ideal Candidate
Training & Facilitation Experience: Experience designing and delivering engaging trainings for adult learners
Classroom & College advising Experience: as the person directing training for GW program staff, knowledge of college advising best practices & comfort/experience teaching young adults is required
Clear Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make complex information simple and actionable
Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively
Collaborative Mindset: Builds strong working relationships across teams and sites
Adaptable: Comfortable adjusting priorities and materials as program needs evolve
Problem-Solver: Approaches challenges with curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset
