Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager for our Sales and Delivery organization, to join our dynamic team based in Palo Alto or Fremont. The Learning and Development Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the learning culture at Tesla, ensuring that our employees have the skills and knowledge necessary to drive innovation and excellence in their roles. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for employee development, a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and the ability to design and implement effective learning programs.

What You'll Do

  • Learning Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Tesla's business goals and objectives
  • Program Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement a variety of learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, onboarding, and continuous learning initiatives
  • Curriculum Development: Create and maintain a curriculum that supports the development of employees at all levels, ensuring alignment with Tesla's core competencies and values
  • Performance Consulting: Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and performance issues, providing data-driven recommendations for learning solutions
  • Technology Integration: Leverage learning technologies to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of training programs, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations
  • Metrics and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, and use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business leaders and HR partners to understand business priorities and ensure learning programs are aligned with organizational needs


  • What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them to diverse employee populations
  • Experience in the technology or automotive industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Expected Compensation

    $76,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
