Manager, Google for Education

Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Academy Team. This role is meant to lead a team of trainers in delivering technical training for Educational IT professionals. The initial (and primary) focus of this role will be on our Google Workspace for Education training team and content portfolio.. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for empowering educators and IT professionals through training and development programs.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of trainers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical training and PD programs.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs for the training team, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback and coaching to... drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop professional development plans for team members.
• Manage team P&L at top level and product level

Training Delivery:
• Oversee the development and delivery of technical training programs for Educational IT professionals, focusing on Google Workspace for Education
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices and standards.
• Ensure that training content is relevant, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences, including educators, administrators, and IT professionals.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to align training initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.

Other Responsibilities

Step in to present training sessions as neededWork with Product Development team to develop and launch new services

Evaluate and build business cases with leadership to expand training offerings (audience, software platform)

Education and/or Experience Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing a team of trainers and delivering training programs in the education sector.
• In-depth knowledge of Google Workspace for Education,Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional training experiences.Ability to travel for training sessions and industry events, as required.

Required Qualifications
• Min 5+ Years Managing a team in an Education or Corporate Environment
• Proven ability to lead engaging and highly rated training events
• Strong ability to improve others in their presentations
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting and managing Google Workspace environments in K-12 and/or Higher Education
• MS or MEd is Education/Instructional Design/Ed Technology
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Monday or similar tools
• Current Google Technical certifications
• Additional experience with Microsoft EDU, and other educational technology tools and platforms
