As a Manager, Global Events, Protective Services, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of event security. Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Manager, Global Events, Protective Services to lead our event security team and ensure the safe and successful execution of our global events. As a key member of our Protective Services team, you'll be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, developing and implementing security plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Event Security Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for high-profile events, ensuring the safety and security of attendees, speakers, and staff. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team is equipped to handle the demands of event security. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with event managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events and provide security briefings and updates as needed. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential security risks, developing strategies to minimize threats and ensure business continuity. Budget Management: Manage event security budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost savings where possible. Communication and Reporting: Provide clear and concise written and verbal communications to stakeholders, including event reports, security incident reports, and other documentation as needed. Continuous Improvement: Analyze event security processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the overall security program. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, program management, or business development, with a focus on security or a related field. Global Experience: Demonstrated ability to work with global teams and manage events in multiple locations. Travel: Ability to travel occasionally with short or no notice. Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and deadline management. On-Call Availability: 24/7 on-call availability. Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree: MBA or master's degree in Business Management or a related field. Professional Certifications: One or more professional certifications, such as PMP, CMP, or other comparable certifications. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio. Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated to see tasks through to completion, with excellent organizational skills and adherence to compliance with timelines and deadlines. High Ethical Standards: High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
