Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time. Position Summary The Manager, Contract Obligation & Compliance Governance oversees the execution, tracking, and compliance of contractual obligations across the Commercial and Medicare segments. This role is the central point of accountability for translating contract language into trackable work, maintaining the Contract Obligation Matrix (COM) as the single source of truth, proactively monitoring deliverables and attestations, overseeing SLA/performance guarantee commitments, and ensuring audit readiness. The Manager partners cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and client-facing teams to identify and escalate risk early, coordinate remediation (including CAP/CAPA), and deliver clear, executive-ready reporting—shifting the organization from reactive compliance to ongoing readiness. Key Responsibilities Translate contract language into clear, trackable workstreams with owners, deadlines, and evidence requirements. Partner with business owners and Legal on contract language interpretation and obligation-related requests. Build and maintain the Contract Obligation Matrix (COM) as the single source of truth (obligation, owner, metric, cadence, evidence location). Proactively track contract deliverables, attestations, and state-specific requirements; flag gaps early. Run recurring compliance monitoring (monthly/quarterly) against contract obligations—not just during audits. Maintain governance artifacts including action trackers, issue logs, decision logs, and change tracking. Monitor SLAs and performance guarantees; validate data sources/calculation logic and support internal pre-submission reviews. Identify, escalate, and document risk related to penalties, credits, and missed obligations; drive cross-functional action plans. Support audit readiness by assembling documentation, evidence, approvals, and CAP/CAPA materials for client/regulatory requests. Produce executive-ready reporting on compliance status, risk exposure, and trends. Lead cross-functional coordination to resolve issues, close gaps, and validate sustained remediation. Success Measures High on-time completion rate of contractual obligations with complete evidence. Fewer repeat audit or compliance findings and reduced control gaps over time. Accurate, defensible SLA/Performance Guarantee reporting and reconciliations. Reduced avoidable penalties or credits tied to missed obligations. Improved stakeholder and client confidence through proactive execution and transparent reporting. Required Qualifications (Flexible Pathways) 5 + years of experience in a related role such as Sales & Account Management, Client Delivery, Operations, Analytics/Reporting, Project Management, Performance Management, Compliance Support, Audit Coordination, Finance Support, Contract Support, or Team Leadership. 2 + years demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements (contractual, regulatory, policy, or operational) into clear, trackable work with defined owners, deadlines, and documented evidence. Preferred Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise, executive-ready status updates. Experience supporting SLAs, performance guarantees, penalties/credits, and/or reconciliations. Experience building and maintaining an obligation matrix (COM), risk register, and CAP/CAPA trackers. Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and client-facing teams. High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Strong business acumen, collaborative leadership style, and growth mindset. Strong cross-functional coordination skills, comfortable driving follow-ups, resolving ambiguity, and keeping work moving without direct authority. Comfort working with metrics, recurring reporting cadences, and basic risk tracking. Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to build contract governance and compliance monitoring expertise.
