SEIU Communications Center, an organization dedicated to advocating for quality health care and good jobs for all, is hiring per diem Tele-Organizers. We seek candidates who are passionate about education, progressive politics, labor issues and social justice movements, and who want to make a difference. Right now we are making calls for a prominent national teacher's union, urging public school employees to take action to improve conditions for students and workers in districts across America. SEIU Communications Center operates at the leading edge of innovation in the labor movement, adapting to the challenges of the 21st century by helping labor unions across the country grow their membership and increase member participation. Although the labor movement is under constant attack from extremists who seek to undermine workers' rights, the SEIU Communications Center has remained at the forefront of this fight, ensuring that working families have access to good-paying jobs, quality health care, and respect and dignity in the workplace. We are excited to open the search for new Tele-Organizers who believe that all workers deserve respect and a voice in the workplace and are eager to join the fight to grow the labor movement across the United States. As the SEIU Communications Center assists local unions across the country with their membership and fundraising drives, our Tele-Organizers are trained to engage potential and current union members tailored to the needs of each campaign. The primary responsibility of the Tele-Organizer is to efficiently handle organizing conversations via phone calls, with a level of professionalism and aptitude that exceeds client expectations. This is a per diem position, but we do work all year-round. This position will start remotely but may transition to our Midtown location when offices reopen.
