Major Account Manager, Verizon

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to manage every aspect of the partnership between Fortinet and Verizon for infrastructure and IT projects. This includes building and implementing strategic account plans and marketing plans in tight collaboration with other internal stakeholders; motivate, educate, and train sales reps on Fortinet products and how to sell them; find new business; and building relationships with all levels within Verizon, including C-level.
Must be a key contributor to the revenue growth and manage to the company growth targets. Will build and promote the Company's position as the worldwide leader in network security technologies.
Required Skills:
Fully qualified, experienced sales professional that is forward thinking and has an expert understanding of the technology business sector.
Minimum 7+ years prior sales experience a must.
Previous experience designing business plans and market strategies with Verizon or other Carriers.
Proven ability to sell complex solutions.
A proven track record of quota achievement and demonstrated career stability
Excellent presentation skills to executives & individual contributors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A self-motivated, independent thinker that can move deals through the selling cycle
Competitive, Self-starter, Hunter-type mentality.
Previous experience in network security. Knowledgeable in network security technologies, including SaSe, Sec Ops, and Secure Networking.
Understand and communicate the business value and/or ROI of installed and proposed products and solution.
The Major Account Manager is required to customarily and regularly work outside of their office or home office engaged in selling, including travel as needed to make a sale
