We’re looking for Machine Learning Engineers across two teams: InstructLab and OpenShift AI. In this role, you will build, optimize, and scale machine learning models while contributing to innovative AI-driven solutions, and assisting users in understanding ML predictions. During the hiring process, we'll work with you to determine the best team placement based on your background and interests. While the core job requirements remain consistent, your day-to-day responsibilities will align with your chosen team's objectives. Ideally, applicants should be located in the Boston, MA or Raleigh, NC area. However, we are open to considering candidates for remote work opportunities, depending on the specific role and required technical skills.What you will doSpecific responsibilities will vary based on team placement, but may include:Design and implement machine learning systemsDevelop and optimize ML models for production useCreate and maintain ML infrastructure and pipelinesEnsure ML systems are scalable and maintainableCollaborate with data scientists to productionize modelsCollaborate closely with researchers, software developers, and upstream AI/ML communitiesWhat you will bringExperience in AI development, deep learning, machine learning libraries (e.g. pytorch, scikit-learn), prompt engineering, and/or fundamental mathematics Experience in feature engineeringExperience in PyTorch, Go, & Python developmentExperience in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or other cloud-native technologiesExperience in agile development, Jira, and Git Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills#AI-HIRINGThe salary range for this position is $133,650.00 - $281,770.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
