About The Role Harris is seeking a highly motivated M&A Analyst / Associate to join its team and support its strategic capital deployment initiatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in evaluating, executing, and monitoring acquisition opportunities, working closely with senior M&A professionals and business unit leaders. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the M&A process, from initial screening and due diligence to deal closing and post-acquisition integration. Candidates at the Analyst or Associate level, depending on their experience, are encouraged to apply. The position is remote, open to candidates across Canada and the US, with up to 25% travel within North America required. A valid passport or visa is essential for travel purposes. Qualifications 0–2+ years of relevant experience for Analyst-level candidates; 2–5+ years for Associate-level candidates in M&A, corporate development, transaction services, accounting, corporate finance, or investment analysis Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and return assessments Experience preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and internal reports Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Fluency in English Undergraduate degree required; MBA or professional designation is an asset but not mandatory Experience with deal negotiations, due diligence coordination, or post-close monitoring is advantageous Responsibilities Support the evaluation and execution of acquisition transactions from initial assessment through to closing and post-close follow-up Develop and maintain detailed financial models and perform valuation analyses to support investment decisions Coordinate and assist with due diligence activities, working with internal teams and external stakeholders Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal investment committees Participate in transaction negotiations, deal structuring, and execution processes Support post-close monitoring and facilitate the transition to integration teams Assist M&A business development specialists in tracking, nurturing, and qualifying potential acquisition targets Maintain relationships with targets and intermediaries through calls, emails, and occasional meetings Contribute to internal reporting on acquisition pipeline, activity, and performance metrics Travel as needed within North America to support various transaction-related activities Benefits Vacation and personal time off Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one Employee equity participation and RRSP/401(k) matching programs Wellness and lifestyle benefits to promote work-life balance Remote work flexibility and additional employee perks Equal Opportunity Harris is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
