About the position
Responsibilities
• Exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers.
• Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with established plans by physicians or registered nurses.
• Transcribe physician orders as directed by policy.
• Communicate with registered nurses to implement changes in patient care plans.
• Administer specified medications accurately following provider orders.
• Execute treatments such as urinary catheterizations and intravenous catheter placements.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Perform patient care functions such as taking vital signs and wound care.
• Assist medical staff with examinations and treatments by providing necessary support.
• Document patient conditions and care in Health Connect as per policy.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service programs.
• Assist in ordering and stocking of department supplies and equipment.
• Support patient communication and message management.
• Administer various therapies including oxygen therapy and suctioning procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of patient care equipment.
Requirements
• Minimum of twelve (12) months of LVN direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support certification.
Nice-to-haves
• IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.
