We are hiring multiple substitute paraprofessionals to join our district in Los Angeles, CA! Our paras will be assisting our special education classrooms in 1:1 and classroom support based roles. If you are interested, please read the description below and apply.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: ASAP - June 2025
Per Diem: Flexible schedule as needed
Caseload: Assisting K-12 students in significant support needs programs
Job Duties
Ā Provide daily classroom assistance to students with special needs, supporting their academic, social, and behavioral development.
Ā Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt materials to meet the needs of each student.
Ā Assist students with daily care including toileting and diapering as needed.
Ā Communicate effectively with support staff and lead teacher
Ā Assess student needs and provide interventions to redirect behavior.
Ā Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
Requirements:
Ā High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ā Associate's Degree or 48 completed college credits
Ā Experience working with special education students preferred
Ā Must have reliable transportation
