Looking for an editor for Cozy Mystery books . 30,785 word book
Hello,
I'm looking for someone to perform copy editing and proofreading for my Cozy Mystery stories on an ongoing basis. I have six books to edit and format currently. This first job will be for an initial 31,000 word book.
Edits will be performed in Word with tracking changes and using the Chicago Manual of Style. Please only apply if you are experienced with CMOS.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't take long to respond, and who can turn around a project from time to time with short notice. Sometimes we need different things edited on a whim.
I really need a professional editor who has excellent communication skills.
My rate is a flat fee which approximates $0.004/word per book for copy editing and proofreading. I offer steady, reliable work. If our collaboration is successful, I will release other books.
As an option to individual books, I am looking, possibly, for a future consideration of a bulk Edit Job. As an example a flat fee for 3 books totaling 71,000 words.
Please submit a recent one-page copy-editing work sample, your typical turnaround time, your experience level, education, and what type of books you personally like to read.
