Longo Lexus VIP Delivery Driver

Overview: The Longo Lexus VIP Delivery Driver, also known as a Flat Bed / Tow Truck Driver, will be responsible for the delivery and pick-up of dealership and guest vehicles. Our ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, a team player, has excellent communication skills, has guest service experience, and approaches every task with a positive attitude. Experience driving a flatbed tow truck is not required, but is a plus! This is a great opportunity to grow with Longo Lexus! The Flat Bed Driver has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $20.00. • This position is located 100% onsite at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA. Perks of working with us: • Weekly Pay - get paid every Friday. • 401k with a generous Company match • Vacation (accruals earned on Full Time or Part Time status) • Vision, dental, and medical care benefits available to any team full time team member • Team member Referral Bonus Program • Tuition reimbursement • Discounts with Corporate Partners like GE, Dell, Oakley, Yeti, Ray Ban, and many more…. • Development and growth opportunities • Free Employee Parking Responsibilities: • Picks up and delivers vehicles for both Sales and Service departments. • Loads and unloads vehicles on flatbed/tow truck. • Arrives to scheduled appointments on a timely manner and maintains communication with guests regarding any changes to scheduled time. • Maintains constant communication with the dispatcher on schedule and appointments. • Inspects and maintains flat bed/tow truck vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. • Performs emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs. • Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures. • Must follow all company safety policies and practices. • Assists the service department, as needed • Operated all tools and equipment in a safe manner. • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions. • Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance Qualifications: • A high school diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of one (1) year experience with driving a tow truck desired. • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it; pay attention to detail; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public. • Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record. Individual will be required to: • Sits and drives for long periods at a time. • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces. • Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. • Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
