Job Summary
As a Load and Unload Coordinator at Home Depot, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of service our customers expect. This position requires a high level of responsibility, diligence, and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for processing freight, organizing merchandise, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Unload Trucks: Ensure the safe and accurate receipt of incoming freight from trucks through proper unloading and documentation procedures.
Stocking: Transport merchandise to its suitable storage locations, arrange stockrooms, and replenish shelves whenever needed.
Inventory Management: Ensure inventory precision by accurately labeling and organizing products. Assist with inventory evaluations and cycle counting to maintain accuracy of stock levels.
Equipment Operation: Execute equipment operation responsibilities while upholding safe practices and protocols.
Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure safety and cleanliness are observed by regularly inspecting and assessing the working area. Remove all potential hazards and hazardous materials, sanitizing areas and tools as necessary.
Customer Service: Augment customer support by aiding customers in finding products and resolving their doubts.
Team Collaboration: Employ collaboration as a tool to enhance workflow and optimize store functionality.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
Experience: Prior experience in retail, warehouse, or related fields is preferred.
Physical Requirements
The job involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy items, as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Hence, you must have a strong level of endurance.
Skills and Competencies
Fundamental Math Skills: Basic math skills are essential for this role.
