Litigation Docketing Specialist - long-term contract remote opportunity (California)

Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a national law firm to find seven (7) Litigation Docketing Specialists for immediate long-term remote contract opportunities. These are fully remote positions; however, candidates must be physically located in California and have prior experience with California court rules and litigation docketing procedures.

These are full-time temporary assignments anticipated to last 6+ months, with many contractors historically extending longer (potentially up to one year or more depending on business needs). Immediate start available.

Responsibilities:
• Review docketing requests and related court filings to accurately calculate, calendar, and maintain litigation deadlines
• Apply California state court rules, federal court rules, and other applicable procedural deadlines
• Maintain docket calendars and generate deadline reports for attorneys and staff
• Monitor incoming docketing requests and ensure timely, accurate updates
• Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff regarding calendaring deadlines and rule interpretations
• Manage multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining strong accuracy

Qualifications:
• Prior litigation docketing experience in a law firm or legal environment
• California court docketing/calendaring experience required
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple urgent requests in a fast-paced setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable home office setup for remote work

Schedule / Compensation:
• Full-time hours
• Fully remote (must reside in California)
• Pay rate starting at $24.50/hour, commensurate with experience
