Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
A specialized hospital school program is seeking a TVI to provide educational support for children undergoing long-term medical treatment. Youll work in partnership with medical staff and therapists to deliver instruction tailored to each childs health status and visual needs. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and sensitivity to medical complexities. Experience with hospital or homebound education preferred. Part-time hours with the potential for increased responsibilities. This role offers a deeply rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual speech and language assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans for students
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide the best care possible
• Keep detailed records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current IllinoisSLP license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders
• Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fast/reliable computer & internet connection
• No Chromebooks/tablets permitted

• Hourly rate consistent across direct/indirect hours (dependent on contractor experience/district budget)

The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and teaching practical skills such as navigation, organization, and communication. The program runs three days a week and includes community outings. Candidates should be comfortable working with a diverse age range from elementary through high school. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge devices and apps.
