Job Opportunity
We are seeking experienced candidates for legal and judicial contract work focused on transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This position is 100% remote and open to Independent Contractors, with the flexibility to set your own schedule. Weekend availability is encouraged.
Responsibilities
Β Transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and judicial proceedings while strictly adhering to style guides.
Β Ensure accuracy through intense attention to detail.
Β Utilize legal terminology and demonstrate excellent grammar.
Qualifications
Β Significant experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required.
Β Excellent listening skills and the ability to discern details in audio content.
Β Strong literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Β Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Β Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
Β Proficient typing skills with speed and accuracy.
Β Capability to process extreme audio/text content, which may include offensive material.
Β Ability to pass a background check.
Β Familiarity with legal terminology.
Β Court reporting students may also be considered.
Β Please note that this opportunity is not open to residents of Massachusetts or California.
Technical Requirements
To effectively utilize our global transcription technology, candidates must have:
Β High-speed internet connection.
Β A computer or laptop.
Β Quality noise-canceling headphones.
Β Windows 10 operating system.
Β An antivirus program with daily virus definition updates (excluding Webroot antivirus).
Β An Infinity foot pedal (highly recommended).
Β Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
