Legal Research - Public Trial Sixth Amendment
We are searching for US case laws concerning a situation where an entire phase of a criminal trial (voir dire, suppression hearing, prosecution case, defense case, opening and closing statement, sentencing etc.) was closed to the public without the knowledge of the trial Judge. Please see two sample case laws below, and we are looking for more case laws like these two. 1) United States v. Jose Negron-Sostre, 790 F.3d 295 , Ist Cir. 2015 - (entire voir dire closed to public due to the court’s long standing practice, unknown to the trial judge - vacated) 2) Walton v.
