Fulfillment Center Intern

Staples seeks a Fulfillment Center Intern to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations at their Greencastle, PA facility during an 11-week summer program. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Shadow experienced fulfillment center supervisors to learn warehouse management, safety protocols, inventory control, and logistics • Assist in overseeing daily operations across departments including order picking, restocking, bulk selecting, custodianship, material handling, receiving, returns, and shipping • Participate in training and support of teams ensuring productivity and quality standards • Contribute to health and safety standards enforcement to maintain a safe work environment • Help manage inventory accuracy through monitoring warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes, and audits • Support optimization of warehouse operations via continuous improvement and lean practices • Collaborate with team members to resolve operational issues and ensure timely shipment of goods • Participate in team meetings discussing improvements, safety performance, and process enhancements • Assist with preparation and presentation of reports on departmental activities, KPIs, and project updates • Engage in special projects and tasks providing hands-on support and analysis About You The company is looking for: • Rising junior or senior graduating in May 2028 or May 2029, enrolled full-time with minimum 12 college credits • Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication across diverse teams • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and eagerness to learn new skills • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Preferred: demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments • Preferred: strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently Training & Development • Hands-on experience in day-to-day operations of a large fulfillment center • Close work with experienced supervisors to gain insights and skills across multiple warehouse functions • Development of technical and soft skills essential for a career in supply chain management Career Progression • This internship serves as a foundational step toward a career in supply chain management This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible Report this job Apply tot his job
