They are seeking a Legal & Regulatory Analyst to provide comprehensive understanding of legal, regulatory, and legislative processes, contributing to excellent reporting and analysis for subscribers.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day coverage of regulatory proceedings, rulemakings, legislative developments, and litigations across a wide variety of cases, industries and jurisdictionsReport on developments on a short time frame and in accordance with Octus’ style guidePrepare long-form analysis of legal, regulatory, and legislative developmentsCollaborate with Octus’ financial analysts and reporters to enhance editorial productParticipate in teleconferences and meetings with subscribers seeking expert analysisPublish stories completely, on time, and correctlyUtilize Octus’ legal editorial product, editorial workflow, and practices effectivelySkillsGraduate with excellent academic record and 1-3 years experience as legislative or regulatory staffer or a position involving other legal or regulatory analysisExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentEnjoys creative problem-solving and looks to take on new challengesThe willingness and ability to travel occasionally for hearings and other industry eventsA working familiarity with legislative and regulatory processesExperience with health care regulation and policy a plusBenefitsCompetitive health benefitsMatched 401k and pension plansPTOGenerous parental leaveGym subsidiesEducational reimbursements for career developmentRecognition programsPet-friendly offices (US only)Company OverviewOctus is a credit intelligence company that specializes in debt advisory, banking and finance, and credit trading solutions.
