Role Overview As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for: • Provide legal support and guidance to colleagues across all departments ensuring clear and compliant responses (HR, Sales, Product, Finance, etc.); • Manage legal operations including contract template maintenance, legal database administration, document preparation, and cross-departmental legal support coordination • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SLAs, NDAs • Support C-level management with legal opinions on corporate matters, employment issues, and strategic decisions • Ensure and advise on GDPR compliance and data protection matters • Assist with the company's VSOP (Virtual Stock Option Program) and equity-related matters • Respond to legal questionnaires and due diligence requests from partners and clients • Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary • Assist in legal process optimization and workflow improvements • Apply technical knowledge to support legal processes related to our SaaS platform and Meta BSP operations About you We highly value people who are dedicated to growing with us, who do not get paralysed by complex problems and focus on continuous improvements and achievements. Key Responsibilities: • Act as trusted legal advisor across all business functions • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle from drafting to execution • Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, data protection, corporate law) • Support C-level on strategic legal matters and corporate governance • Maintain and optimize legal operations and documentation systems • Provide backup coverage for Legal colleagues Key Requirements: • Law Degree (German or equivalent EU qualification) • Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or tech sector • Strong understanding of commercial contract law and B2B agreements • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection compliance • Fluent legal English (written and spoken) • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to non-legal colleagues Desired Skills/Experience: • German language proficiency (strong advantage) • Experience in SaaS, technology • Familiarity with Meta Business Solutions, WhatsApp Business API (WABA), or similar platforms • Prior experience as in-house counsel in a startup Budget The budget range for this role is €5,000 Month – €7,000/Month, depending on the candidate’s level of experience and fit with the position requirements. Location We are a fully remote company and welcome applicants from anywhere in the world. However, candidates must hold an EU-recognized law degree and have strong knowledge of EU/GDPR regulations.
