Provide expert legal advice and support to clients in the alternative investments industry. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments related to alternative investments. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored legal solutions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to inform decision-making and offer sound legal advice. Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments. Identify and mitigate potential legal risks for clients, offering proactive solutions to prevent legal issues. Work closely with internal teams and departments to coordinate and align legal strategies and initiatives. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information. Represent Northern Trust in legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance legal knowledge and skills. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the performance of duties. Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures within the legal department. Effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
