Lead Physical Therapist

The Lead Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of disabilities, injuries, rehabilitation, and diseases as related to functional impairments. Uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote functional independence and improve quality of life. The Lead Physical Therapist will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of clinical staff utilized in the functions of therapy Responsibilities Evaluates and treats disabilities, injuries, and diseases as related to functional impairments Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, activities of daily living, and sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities; directing aides, technicians, and assistants Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical staff utilized in the functions of therapy Uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote functional independence and improve the quality of life for the patient Delegates the plan of care to assistive personnel and monitors quality of care Evaluates results of physical therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Trains and orients new employees Participates in performance management, the appraisal process, and provides regular feedback as necessary Assists with any inspections or audits and ensures Physical Therapy is in compliance with all regulatory agencies, department PI activities, and patient safety programs Qualifications Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required, Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred 1-2 years of physical therapist experience preferred Supervisory experience preferred Licensed physical Therapist in the State of Florida Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider required #LI-JK1 About Company The mission of the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute is to provide some of the most technologically advanced treatments to improve the lives of those who suffer from congenital, developmental and post-traumatic orthopedic conditions.
