Lead Motion Content Creator

Remote Full-time
About Kendra Scott

We are a fashion-lifestyle brand of big dreams, colorful confidence, and inspired design. Founded on Family, Fashion and Philanthropy, we believe that our employees and customers are the heart and soul of our brand, and that giving back is the truest form of success. Fashion meets innovation in the design of our two state-of-the-art facilities based in the heart of Austin, Texas, and overflows into the design of our growing retail environment across the country.

Position Overview

Kendra Scott is investing in building elevated, social-first motion content in-house — and this role will help lead that evolution.

We are seeking a Lead Motion Content Creator who understands that culture lives in video. This is not a traditional videographer role focused solely on long-form storytelling. This is a social-first, concept-to-execution position for a highly creative, fast-moving content creator who can capture product and people with energy, polish, and cultural relevance.

Reporting into Creative with a dotted line to Social Leadership, this role will both respond to strategic briefs and proactively contribute ideas — working in close partnership with Creative and Social teams to bring brand moments to life at speed.

This is a collaborative role. You will help shape ideas, not operate independently of direction.

Responsibilities

Execute & Elevate Social-First Motion

· Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-production, platform-native content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.

· Translate briefs from Social and Creative into dynamic, culturally relevant motion assets.

· Capture timely brand moments and turn over assets quickly without sacrificing production quality.

· Tailor pacing, hooks, sound design, and format for each platform.

Contribute Ideas Within a Strategic Framework

· Bring forward thoughtful, trend-aware ideas that align with brand strategy and campaign direction.

· Collaborate with Creative Directors, Social Strategists, and Art Directors to refine and evolve concepts.

· Balance creative initiative with responsiveness to established briefs and business priorities.

Own the Craft

· Lead projects end-to-end: ideation (when applicable), shooting, editing, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.

· Shoot with professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment — this is elevated production, not lo-fi capture.

· Integrate modern motion graphics, typography, and transitions that feel premium and current.

· Ensure product and people are captured beautifully and intentionally in motion.

Support Broader Brand Storytelling

· Contribute to founder-led content, philanthropic storytelling, campaign shoots, and in-store activations.

· Collaborate alongside internal teams and external partners as needed.

· Support eCommerce and campaign motion needs.

Key qualities for success:

· 4–6+ years of experience in motion content creation, videography, or social-first production within a brand or agency environment.

· A portfolio demonstrating:

o High-production short-form content

o Strong editing rhythm and pacing

o Trend-aware, culturally relevant work

o Product-forward storytelling

· Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

· Strong skills in color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.

· Professional experience with camera systems, lighting, and audio.

· Deep understanding of social platforms and how content performs.

· Ability to work at pace, manage multiple priorities, and pivot quickly.

· A collaborative mindset — confident in your ideas, receptive to direction, and energized by team-based creation.

Why This Role Matters

As video continues to define culture, this role will help elevate how Kendra Scott shows up in motion — with relevance, agility, and creative excellence. This is an opportunity to build meaningful in-house capability while working alongside a highly collaborative creative and social team.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
