Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our Infrastructure Voice team. As a Lead Engineer, you will function as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You will create, own, and be responsible for the software architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You will identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are able to stand up an architecture in its entirety on your own, but you choose to lead a broader team by acting as a "force multiplier".

Key Responsibilities

Manage telephony solutions using open-source technology such as Asterisk and Kamailio
Configure and customize telephony systems to meet business requirements while ensuring high availability and reliability of telephony services
Stay up-to-date with the latest open-source telephony technologies and trends
Use DevOps skills to automate deployment of applications and changes with CI/CD pipelines
Use APIs to automate tasks and responsibilities
Manage Voice Store technology hardware including Music player systems (amplifiers and speakers), guest assist buttons, and overhead paging
Create dashboarding to help with monitoring and troubleshooting
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to implement and troubleshoot solutions, while providing technical expertise
Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs while working to build solutions to achieve business goals


Essential Qualifications

4-year degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of software development experience
Telephony experience in a professional setting
Experience with open-source technology (Asterisk, Kamailio, or similar)
Experience with APIs to automate tasks and responsibilities pipelines
Innate desire to learn and constantly develop technical skills
Strong communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Session Border Controllers
Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems
