You’ll leverage strong communication and collaboration while focusing on client satisfaction and high availability.As a DevOps Tech Pod Leader at EverOps you will join our U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center (your home office), working with a team of dynamic engineers to manage multiple customers’ production cloud environments. Our existing team of engineers has a deep understanding of our customer environments and are eager to empower, ramp up, and mentor each new hire so that success is achieved.What You’ll Do:Manage the Tech Pod from a complete delivery perspectiveWork with your client to ensure project scope and alignmentGuide your Tech Pod both technically and career-wiseDevelop and use automation tools effectively to operate, manage, and scale production and development environments quicklyParticipate in regular customer and internal EverOps scrumsMonitor environments while focusing on constant improvementImplement new tools and technologies as customer requirements evolveDesign and execute new solutions while working to improve existing ones Provide operational support and project deployments for our customer environments You Have5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer3+ years of experience in managing teams and engaging with clients both strategically and tacticallyHands-on experience and deep understanding of Linux Strong hands-on professional experience with either Golang, Python, Ruby, Bash, Typescript, or RustStrong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Azure designing, building, and running highly-available cloud-native environmentsExperience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Packer, etc.Understanding of current best practices and principles related to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform + Atlantis and/or CloudFormation)Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Argo CD, Spinnaker, Travis CI, etc.Familiarity and/or experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus/GrafanaNoSQL experience with any of the three following databases: Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDBRelational database experience with MySQL or PostgresExperience with Azure Extra AwesomeExperience with source control, build management, monitoring, configuration management, log management, and scripting/web languages (Bash, etc.)Experience with AWS data objects like RedshiftStrong desire to learn new technologies Industry certifications (AWS, Red Hat, Hashicorp, Google Cloud, etc.)Experience in SaaS companies and startup environmentsBenefits100% remote workplace – We’ve been remote since Day 1!Unlimited Paid Time OffEquity – If you display ownership of the work you’re doing you’ll become a true owner of the company401K with company contributionCompany sponsored healthcareCompetitive compensationOpportunities to accelerate professional growth with access to training and certification programs
