Our Information and Investigation group, a vital section under the Diversion and ESPN Innovation (DE&ET) umbrella, is dedicated to harnessing the power of data to enhance our services for clients, sponsors, and content partners. We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Information Specialist to join our Commitment and Maintenance Information Designing group, where you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge Information Arrangements. About the Role As a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our data-driven endeavors. You will contribute to the design and development of our Information Items and Information Distribution centers, focusing on Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting scalable data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Information conditions, and ensuring high operational efficiency and quality of solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Information conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) using technologies such as Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Wind stream. Help engineer information arrangements/structures and define information models for the basic information distribution center and information shops. Collaborate with Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful information arrangements. Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support information quality and information administration. Ensure high operational efficiency and nature of your answers to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups). Be an active member and supporter of agile/scrum practices to guarantee wellbeing and cycle enhancements for your group. Essential Qualifications To excel as a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, underscoring your strong technical foundation. Solid SQL abilities and the capacity to create inquiries to separate information and fabricate performant datasets. Involved insight with appropriated frameworks like Flash, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to inquiry and cycle information. Strong programming abilities in Python, Java/Scala, demonstrating your versatility in various programming languages. Experience with at least one significant MPP or cloud information base innovation (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Inquiry), highlighting your expertise in data management. Strong involvement in information reconciliation toolsets (i.e., Wind current) and composing and keeping up with Information Pipelines. Solid understanding of Information Demonstrating strategies and Information Warehousing standard systems and practices. Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches, showcasing your ability to work in dynamic environments. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and brilliant logical and relational abilities. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having insight into Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) will be considered a significant advantage, further enhancing your candidacy for this role.
