Lead Consultant (Program Manager)Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) or Des Moines, IA (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-time Industry Knowledge: A mandatory requirement of 3+ years of deep industry knowledge of crop insurance. Familiarity with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) guidelines and compliance requirements is essential. Role OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned program manager with consultative skills to act as a Lead Consultant - Program Manager. This role is key in building and supporting client engagements for our Consulting Practice. The Program Manager will develop action plans to guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring overall deliverables are met for an application modernization engagement. This position involves collaboration across multiple departments and teams to ensure project success and requires being on-site with the client 2-3 days per week. Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and technical communities.Collaborate with client staff to establish a long-term vision, identify obstacles, and create strategies for successful implementation.Develop an engagement roadmap and related reporting for client delivery, ensuring all deliverables align with the Statement of Work.Create and track metrics to evaluate project performance, including KPIs, and provide the team with meaningful operational data.Develop comprehensive project plans, manage resources effectively, and adhere to budgetary requirements.Lead multiple pods of nearshore teams, oversee daily work priorities, mitigate risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders.Oversee delivery planning, manage project risks, and support team development by eliminating obstacles.Develop project plans, job aids, and presentations, demonstrating a resourceful approach to content creation.Participate in pre-sales activities by providing strategic guidance, estimates, and scoping.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 6+ years of relevant product and program management experience, including extensive portfolio and program management skills. 3+ years of Agile project management experience is required. Experience working with near-shore development teams is also necessary. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, Clarity, Basecamp, or Trello. Experience with the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. Preferred QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other relevant Agile certifications.Compensation & BenefitsThe anticipated base salary for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus potential paid quarterly.
