Job Summary They are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Backend Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable backend services that power our core application. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building high-quality software with modern technologies. Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of major backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Hands-On Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Python using the FastAPI framework. Team Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and support a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Code Quality: Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment through code reviews and technical documentation. System Performance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and security. Qualifications and Job Requirements 5+ years of professional backend development experience. Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer mentoring other developers. Strong expertise in Python and deep hands-on experience with FastAPI. Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Located in Latin America. Fluent in English.
