Lead After Hours Representative

Details • Department: ACC Providers After Hours • Schedule: Sunday-Sunday from 4:00pm-12:00am Eastern time. Responsibilities Do you have experience answering calls after hours for a doctor's office? Supporting a 24/7 team assisting patients by phone in a remote setting. Handle inbound calls to support patients, medical practices, providers and other general calls in multiple markets. Lead assigned staff in performing activities related to patient registration. • Schedule staff to optimize departmental resources and productivity. • Order and maintain appropriate supplies. • Confirm insurance coverage. • Determine necessity for pre-authorization and obtains authorization for scheduled procedures. • Determine financial responsibility for services to be provided. • Communicate with patients and practitioners regarding financial responsibility and insurance coverage issues, and notify them of any services requested and/or referred that are not authorized by insurance. • Keep abreast of insurance company changes and updates. Communicate these changes to staff. Requirements Education: • High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. • Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.
