Wherever works for you, works for us.What you’d be doing in this roleWe are seeking a dedicated, local LATAM Communications Manager based in Mexico. As a key in-market partner, this role will drive media and industry engagement, shape Canva’s regional narrative, elevate spokespeople, and localise global campaigns, all while ensuring alignment with business objectives.As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.At the moment, this role is focused on:Developing and executing a market-specific Communications program with distinct pillars and targeted spokesperson strategies to drive upper-funnel engagement in LATAM.Elevating Canva's awareness, adoption, and understanding in Brazil and Mexico through consistent and impactful communication strategies.Creatively adapting global messaging to resonate with local audiences while maintaining alignment with the overarching global strategy.Serving as the crucial link between Global and Local Comms teams, ensuring a consistent, culturally relevant narrative and year-round momentum for Canva across the region.Collaborating closely with the International Communications Lead to implement global communication strategies and support key programs.Overseeing and strategically managing the LATAM PR agency partnership to ensure effective localization, maximize ROI, and align execution with global initiatives for regional impact.You're probably a match ifYou have extensive communications experience across LATAM, with deep expertise in both corporate and consumer PR, ideally within the Brazilian and Mexican markets.You are an innovative thinker who blends traditional media with innovative non-traditional strategies for holistic outcomes.You can demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders, while also excelling in independent work.You have a proven track record of successfully managing agency partnerships and skillfully navigating cultural nuances within the LATAM region.You have experience in localizing global strategies to achieve significant regional impact and measurable results.You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as part of a small and highly ambitious team.You have a passion for Canva's mission, values, and culture, with the capacity to advocate for them authentically.You are proficient in Spanish & Portuguese.
