Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Land Surveyor to join our client's team. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for coordinating survey work, providing guidance on survey plans and drawings, and reviewing and signing survey documents. This is a full-time, remote opportunity with occasional travel to Pittsburgh. Key Responsibilities


Coordinate survey work with the department manager, technicians, drafters, and other disciplines as required
Provide guidance in the preparation of survey plans and drawings
Review and sign survey drawings, subdivision or condominium plats, and other survey documents (once licensed)
Write and/or review legal descriptions and other survey documents (once licensed)
Analyze client needs and prepare technical proposals
Occasionally assist in the management of projects


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred
SIT (Surveyor-in-Training) certificate required, PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) license preferred
Good technical writing, computer, and communication skills
Software experience in Calson and GIS
Ability to access and understand legal records and field notes
Ability to operate calculator, computer, and equipment
Ability to interpret legal descriptions and field notes
Ability to effectively communicate findings and make recommendations
Ability to compose and write clear and concise reports and legal descriptions


Preferred Qualifications


PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) license
Experience with land surveying software and technologies
Strong project management and leadership skills
