Kindergarten Head Teacher (September 2025)
Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks a Kindergarten Head Teacher beginning September 2025.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a field related to education (Master's degree preferred) and at least three years of experience in teaching Lower School. Strong candidates will possess:
? Expertise with Kindergarten;
? A demonstrated love of children;
? Knowledge of child development from ages 4 to 7;
? Experience creating Social Studies and Language Arts curriculum where all children can see themselves reflected in the program while simultaneously developing a curiosity about the world around them;
? A pedagogy where inquiry is center;
? Experience with mathematics where children feel supported, challenged and grapple with difficult, deep problems;
? A passion for the complexities of the social-emotional lives of children;
? A joyful dedication to education that holds high standards for children's intellectual growth
? Interactive, adaptive classroom management skills which both facilitate order and learning while respecting children;
? A commitment to an equitable classroom culture;
? A belief in partnerships with families;
? A demonstrated attention to how race, gender, and other aspects of identity manifest themselves in the classroom;
? An ability to work collaboratively and generously with colleagues, both on the team and across the division;
? Strong communication skills; and
? An optimistic, purposeful work
