The Illinois Policy Institute is hiring a Development Associate to support fundraising operations, contributing to donor engagement and revenue growth while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit development.ResponsibilitiesDraft and edit donor proposals, impact reports, and stewardship communicationsMaintain and update institutional boilerplate, program summaries, and funding materialsConduct research on prospective donors, foundations, and partnersSummarize findings and track cultivation activity within the organization’s CRMCoordinate with Finance and Operations to record gifts, pledges, and donor interactionsSupport reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely reportingAssist with drafting thank-you letters and donor acknowledgmentsSupport donor club materials and ensure prompt, professional follow-upAssist with meeting coordination, briefing preparation, and personalized donor outreachSupport senior staff in preparing for donor meetings and callsAssist with donor receptions, briefings, and institute eventsSupport logistics, guest coordination, and post-event follow-upSkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and dependableInterest in fundraising, philanthropy, communications, or public policyProficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; CRM experience a plus (training provided)Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to occasionally support events outside standard business hours (up to 10%)Company OverviewStand Together is a non-profit organization management company that specializes in education, trade, foreign policy.
