Junior Project Manager (Entry Level – Software & IT Projects)

Duties • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination using tools such as Jira and Clickup. • Support requirements gathering sessions and document detailed specifications for software development and IT infrastructure projects. • Contribute to the creation of test cases, user acceptance testing (UAT), and test-driven development activities to ensure quality deliverables. • Participate in Agile, and Kanban project management methodologies to facilitate smooth project execution. • Help monitor project progress through tools like VersionOne, TFS, and SharePoint; update project status reports regularly. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment. • Assist in risk management activities such as disaster recovery planning and IT governance compliance. • Support release management processes and contribute to project implementation efforts across various phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). • Maintain organized documentation related to project schedules, test cases, requirements, and technical specifications using Visio and Microsoft Word. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. • Basic understanding of project management principles including PMBOK guidelines and SDLC processes. • Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, VersionOne, or similar tools. • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS or related enterprise software solutions is a plus. • Exposure to databases such as SQL or Oracle; understanding of IT infrastructure concepts is desirable. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and team collaboration. • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities; experience with analysis skills is advantageous. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated time management skills with an aptitude for meeting deadlines and managing priorities effectively.
