Jr. Payroll Specialist

They are seeking a Jr. Payroll Specialist to manage payroll preparation, ensure accurate time recording, and handle employee inquiries related to payroll.ResponsibilitiesManage Paylocity Time and Labor module to ensure proper recording of time worked and time off by employeesRun periodic time entry audit reports to ensure adherence to company time tracking policy and adjusting if necessaryWork directly with managers and employees to rectify time discrepanciesManage payroll preparation for each cycleMaintain employee profiles in HR & Payroll Module to include verifying proper taxation, pay, and deduction set-upCommunicate with HRIS and Benefits to coordinate timing of benefit and pay changesConfirm accuracy of information received through integration (i.e. 401k)Create and maintain payroll batches for one-time employee pay changesCalculate final payments for terminating employees in accordance with applicable state lawsOversee and respond to employee inquiries received via Paylocity Community HR Questions-Payroll and Time & Labor Smart GroupAnalyze and reconcile payroll data, identifying and correcting variancesReceive, respond, and enter garnishments within Paylocity to ensure proper calculation based on priority and typeWork with Payroll Manager on special projects and other duties as assignedSkillsMinimum of 6 months of HR, administrative, or financial experience requiredExperience with Human Resources Management Software requiredPrior experience with payroll requiredFamiliarity with timesheets and payroll reports requiredExcellent communication, research, and organization skills requiredKnowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state labor lawsKnowledge of multi-state payroll preferredExperience with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs preferredBachelor's degree, with an emphasis on business or HR-related field, preferredExperience working under bi-weekly deadlinesBenefitsMedical (PPO/HDHP), vision, disability, and life insurance.Enhanced dental plan with orthodontia coverage in addition to a standard plan.Generous PTO plan for all benefit-time eligible employees.Paid company holidays and 4 floating holidays.Paid parental leave.Employee Retirement Savings Plan/401(k) with company match and immediate vesting.Education Assistance Program that offers 100% upfront tuition reimbursement after 6 months of service for approved degree programs.Service Recognition Program that provides a monetary award to be used toward a vacation every 5 years of employment.Wellness Initiatives that include Fitness Center and Weight Watchers Reimbursement programs.Voluntary benefits that include accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity.Employee discount and rewards program on travel, tickets, electronics, home, and more.Company OverviewbiBerk helps small-business owners find the right insurance policies for their needs without extra costs and hassles.
