Journalist cum Sub-editor

The Team ZBSchools creates Chinese content, publications and manages digital/social media platforms aimed at young children and teenagers. We also organise branding and outreach events to continuously engage with our audience. Our titles include Thumbs Up Little Junior (小小拇指), Thumbs Up Junior (小拇指)， Thumbs Up (大拇指) and zbCOMMA (逗号). Our main digital platform is ZBSchools.sg. As we service audiences who have a variety of interests and who are social media savvy, we operate with a start-up mentality and culture. The Role ZBSchools is seeking a highly motivated Reporter cum Sub-editor to join its editorial team. Key Responsibilities Brainstorm, conduct interviews and produce quality written content for student publications targeted at readers aged between 7 and 18 Design page layout for student publications Conceptualise and collaborate with team to create original Chinese multimedia content for digital platforms, including videos, social media posts and campaigns Support digital creative projects/live events across digital platforms Assist in managing and maintaining of digital platforms Develop and implement strategies to grow outreach/engagement for digital/social media platforms Manage outreach projects/events Requirements Effectively bilingual with good written Chinese communication skills Diploma/Degree in media or relevant disciplines At least 3 years of working experience; relevant working experience preferred. Highly creative, self-motivated and able to work independently Passionate in creating entertaining and informative content for students Organised and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines Experience in video production will be an advantage Knowledge of In-Design, CapCut, Premiere Pro or other media editing software will be an advantage
