About You and This Role

Dow is seeking a Senior Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our Freeport, TX team!

In this role, you will provide essential engineering support to address immediate plant issues impacting production. You will deliver equipment-based solutions and repair techniques to improve the facility's availability and maintainability.

Responsibilities
• Act as an expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
• Develop and maintain maintenance operating disciplines.
• Offer technical support to plant personnel for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure engineering input is included in work requests for repair strategies.
• Document and share repair techniques and equipment-specific training.
• Provide maintainability input to Global Project Methodology activities.
• Support the preventive maintenance coordinator in reviewing spare parts lists.
• Enter quality and performance data into the reporting system.
• Participate in maintenance budget development to support the strategy.
• Offer engineering input for work packages and turnaround projects.
• Provide equipment reliability and performance data to technical networks.
• Complete all required EH&S training and exhibit safe work behaviors.
• Support Industrial Hygiene and other EH&S activities.
• Use maintenance spending and reliability metrics to identify improvements.
• Initiate and implement reliability-related changes in coordination with leadership.
• Understand and apply Long Term Cost of Ownership principles.

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant military experience (U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class/Sergeant ranking).
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work safely at elevated heights, with necessary training provided.
• Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, a TWIC card.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
