Position Overview:

This internship a volunteer position, it is designed to provide a meaningful and educational experience for individuals interested in grant writing, public health, and healthcare innovation.

As a Grant Writing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in grant proposal development while working closely with a experienced researcher who will guide and support you throughout the internship.

This internship is an educational opportunity. The focus is on skill-building, mentorship, and professional development, making it ideal for students or recent graduates.

Duration and Time Commitment:
• Length: 4 months (16 weeks)
• Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic or personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a mentor, you will:
• Conduct research and gather relevant data to support grant proposals.
• Identify and evaluate grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and objectives.
• Assist in drafting, formatting, and editing grant proposals.
• Track and report on the status of grant applications, including follow-up and reporting requirements.
• Learn to develop budgets required for grant applications.

Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program in a research-oriented field (e.g., health, journalism, communication, writing, English literature, social science, education, business, or related areas).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Prior experience in grant writing or similar tasks is a plus but not required.
• A track record of academic or professional writing, such as research papers or proposals, is a plus, but not required.
